Crozier Family life captured on film

One of the things I love about shooting with film is that it seems to transform everything you shoot back into a different decade. I recently acquired an Olympus OM-1, a camera made in the 70’s. The manual focus cameras from these decades are a treat to use. Let me tell you, the digital photographers of today have it easy. I don’t know what it is about film, but it feels instantly nostalgic, as if I was looking back at a photo taken 40 years ago instead of 4 weeks. These are a collection of photos taken of Tash, Canon, and Leland, and one of Scott my brother around our house, Edmonds Beach, and our yard. Please pardon the blurriness, the light leaks, the over exposure, the funky colors, and everything else “wrong” with these images. I love them for their normalcy. I really feel like their are so many mundane things we do that we fail to capture because we simply aren’t watching. Shooting film has really awakened a new desire and passion for capturing the moment at its peak. When you have to watch and wait for the perfect split-second to pull the trigger it really changes how you shoot. Anyways, this is my family and I love them.
