I’m finally having time to look back and catch up on my blogging for 2017 after the birth of my newest son Stuart! I’ve been looking forward to sharing this beauty with everyone. Adam and Chih-yu’s wedding was absolutely stunning. I always love shooting at the Seattle Aquarium. The combinations of the waterfront views of the city, the wildlife and the gorgeous and interesting spaces really spark my creativity. Their day started at the Seattle Fairmont Hotel where we did their getting ready and first look photos. I always love doing getting ready photos, it gives the bridal party a good opportunity to get to know me, and we always get some fun shots and details.
These two were adorable. I loved their genuine reaction and excitment! We stuck around and got a few more shows in the courtyard before heading over to the ceremony.
I love the views from the Pier behind the Seattle Aquarium. This is typically where they hold their wedding ceremonies.
Chih-yu sang a song during the ceremony. It was a really touching moment, and something I have yet to see.
The guest enjoyed the beautiful weather and the warm sun. It made for awesome “glowing” photos.
I really love these moments after the ceremony when the couple celebrates with their wedding party.
The light on the pier was crazy!
Adam and Chih-yu signed their certificate in my favorite room in the whole aquarium, the underwater dome. I love shooting with off-camera flash in this space.
Off to feed the otters.
The reception room as always looks amazing with its dramatic Pacific Northwest Sea life tank.
Chih-yu changed into this gorgeous red dress before their first dance. They are both pro dancers, which made for a beautifully done dance routine.
Their toasts were moving and wonderful. I loved this uncle by the way!
Chih-yu in dress number 3! Such a fun and beautiful day!
I’m so thankful that these two lovely people had me photograph their awesome wedding day. Also a big thanks to my good friend Katie Delorme for second shooting with me, she’s awesome.
