Most wedding planing websites offer you enormous checklists to help you get your big day planned. Rent Venue – Check. Hire (Crozier) Photography – Check. Pick out a cake – check. UN-invite those relatives – check, check, Check! As detailed as these checklists can be, they sometimes leave out what I (and many other photographers) consider our best friend on the wedding day: the wedding coordinator. I have had it happen to me time and time again. A wedding without a coordinator is like a ship with no captain. Without one, there is no central figure to look to to run the schedule and keep things in order. A wedding coordinator is crucial. They will take care of and deflect all of the details and questions that inevitably come up during your day and let you concentrate on having the best day of your life. Most wedding coordinators work hand in hand with you before the wedding as well, minimizing your stress and making sure your wedding is memorable.
Meet Rebecca Grant of New Creations Weddings. Rebecca has extensive wedding design and coordination experience. She specializes in Asian wedding customs. I got to take Rebecca and her husband (and dog) out on a sweet photo shoot at Discover Park. It was a great way to connect and I’m looking forward working with Rebecca at future weddings. Check out their awesome photos.
