Walla Walla wedding photography
I love me some Walla Walla Destination wedding photography! This was such a fun wedding to be a part of. I woke up the morning of the wedding at 5:15am after just three hours sleep to catch a plane over to the opposite side of our great state. I then proceeded to my hotel where the AWESOME front desk guy let me crash for 30 minutes in a room. Even though it was only 10am and check in was at 3pm. He also upgraded me to a suite which was super comfy (bed was amazing). Keri and Jason got married at Wine Valley Golf Club’s new open concept wedding venue. What a cool place to get married. With a rustic wine flavored theme it was pretty awesome. After some fun getting ready shots with her girls Keri and Jason and I (plus Keri’s mom) hopped in Jason’s truck and drove down to Long shadows winery, which I had scouted earlier, and made good use of their trees, lobby, and barrel room. I loved being able to provide some variety and interest to their photos especially during the hot middle part of the day when we were shooting. Keri and Jason totally surprised me when I suggested we run a bit late *gasp* and stop on the road to take advantage of the rolling hills. These shots are definitely some of my favorite from the day and really show off the scenery. Their ceremony was legitimately touching as the minister told some really moving stories from their past. I may or may have not teared up. I have known Keri and Jason for over a year now so this one was a little more personal than usual. During the ceremony the wind was blowing at just the right amount to make Keri’s dress flutter in the breeze, it was beautiful. The light during the toasts was incredible. With all the dust in the sky due to harvesting the entire sky was painted red. I had never seen a sunset like this before. To top off the night there was of course some awesome dancing, and delicious Norwegian cake. I would have loved to have been a guest at this wedding, alas I was exhausted (see above 3 hours sleep reference). Warning as always TOO MANY PICTURES!
