Tash and I traveled up to Orcas Island Bright and early Sunday morning. Awaking at no later than 4:30 we made the trek up to Anacortes to guarantee a spot of the ferry over to the island. We were sixth in line. Two cups of coffee and a record three breakfasts later (cereal before leaving, pumpkin “cookie”(it was huge and delicious) with coffee in Anacortes, and an amazing egg scramble in the town of Eastsound) we were ready to start shooting. Tash and I really enjoyed the two hours we got to drive around on the island before hand. It is a beautiful place and definitely somewhere we intend to come back to.
David and Sandra’s wedding was marvelous. We took advantage of the beautiful Rosario Resort to do all of the bride and groom portraits. Rosario was a great place with a lot of character built in, such a fun place to shoot. My favorite story was when David arrived early and asked about where the wedding photographer was. The receptionist, knowing that there was a wedding on site the day before, kindly informed him that he was a mere day late to his own wedding. Good time.
The church were they got married in was at the Orcas Island Christian School. It had the cutest chapel imaginable.
Thanks guys for letting us be a part of your awesome day.
