Indian Summer Golf Course Wedding Photography

Couple: Sunny & Bill

Venue: Indian Summer Golf Course

Olympia Wedding Photographer:  John Crozier

I loved this Indian Summer golf course wedding of Bill and Sunny’s, such a wonderful couple. Bill and Sunny may have the best photo chemistry of anyone I have ever shot, it was a true treat to be a part of making some awesome memories for them. From start to finish I really loved everything about this wedding day. The decorations were marvelous, the light was gorgeous, the couple and their friends were fun and up for anything (which came in handy), and they really trusted me and my artistic vision to create some awesome photos for them. My day started with the long drive down to Olympia, I gave myself time to do a fair bit of scouting. I like to scout out locations I will be shooting in order to give myself a plan of attack. I find my couples love to know that I, as the hired professional, have a plan and am going to take care of them while getting awesome pictures. We ended up finding a sweet field behind Lowes about 2 minutes from the venue (more on this later) as well as some nice spots at their sight. The light was absolutely gorgeous all day long. I especially LOVED the light during the ceremony, the way it was filtering through the oak trees was absolutely gorgeous and made for very ethereal and glowing photos. The thing I loved the most about Bill and Sunny was how expressive they were together, whether smiling, kissing, or crying their emotions and love for each other really stood out. Also the way they naturally posed was just so elegant and beautiful. Basically I think they are a HOT couple! Love you guys! My favorite part of the day was taking Bill and Sunny to the aforementioned abandoned lot behind Lowes. It was here that we took what ended up being some of my favorite photos from their wedding. The warmth of the dry grass and the texture of the knobby pine trees really made these images work for me. We had to truck through a maze of low lying thorny vines to get here, but they were troopers and made it happen. The Reception was gorgeous and I love the overall feel of the space. I thought it felt elegant, cozy and warm.  loved the different lighting and the Chinese lanterns which I thought made the space feel more intimate and warm.  A lovely wedding, I hope you enjoy the photos.

One of my favorite ring shots from the summer.

I hadn’t seen this tactic used for place cards before. Pretty cool idea.

Wandering down the cart path of the golf course we came upon this forested area. I loved the light peering through the trees. bridal portraits in the trees at indian summer golf course
